Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Our family had the privilege to stay at Water Oak location. The past three years, it has become a tradition to stay in HH with our daughter and her family. This is our first Sea Pines stay. It will now be our “go to” base. We love it!

We loved the responsiveness of the management company, location, and property.

We returned to our home in Asheville and two days later Helene hit. It is the reason our review was delayed. We have been fortunate not to have experienced the tragedy as severely as some neighbors and friends.

We feel especially blessed to have had the time together without a care in the world. It has made all we are enduring today so much more manageable!

We loved the house! It was open, spacious, clean and filled with amenities that were useful. We loved the outdoor tv area by the pool. Spent alot of our time there. The house wasn't close to the beach but since it was off season we could park at Sea Pines Beach Resort parking lot.
I would not rent the house again for couple of reasons.
1. Every single bed was uncomfortable! I wish I would've listen to the other reviews! The owners need to invest in new mattresses asap. The room with 2 beds, the bed by the window is wonky and unstable. Both king size beds had humps in the middle making you roll to the edge of the bed.
2. Midway into our stay the next door neighbor installed cameras on their house facing directly into the pool area. That is very creepy and unsettling. We limited our time by the pool after that.

Too bad for the beds and creepy neighbor cause I would've loved to book again for next October.

Thank you for the feedback, we have passed on the info about the beds to the homeowners and recommend replacing. We sent a property manager over to the home after reading this review to look at the cameras. After looking closer, they put up exterior cameras on parts of the home, however none are facing the pool of this home. What was mounted on the side of the home facing the pool is just a solar panel that powers some of the rear cameras, it is not a camera itself. None of their security cameras are pointed toward any private areas of the home.

Great house and the folks at Islands of Hilton Head were really nice and super responsive and helpful. Pool area was fantastic and water was clean and well maintained. Thanks for the stay!

My family and I had a wonderful experience at this rental. House was furnished with basic necessities and even a fewamenities that made the stay even more enjoyable. Pool was awesome. Location is amazing and close to many attractions and stores. Would stay here again. Only wish was that the mattress wan't as firm as it is.

Stayed at this location for a week, house was nice and spacious for 6 people, swam in the pool a few times but I should have ordered the pool to be heated. Convient location to the beaches. Be warned of the local traffic they can be a bit inpatient if you are doing even 1 mph below the speed limit. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We have a great time! We were nervous as there were no other reviews but very glad we chose this property. It was in a beautiful community and very close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We had 7 people stay and fit perfectly. This included 4 kids under age 10 and 3 adults.

PROs:
large house great for 8 people
pool onsite
grill
kitchen stocked with utensils, plates, cups, appliances including toaster and coffee
laundry onsite
10 min drive or less to the beach
open living space
TVs even by the pool

CONs
The pool should be cleaned during the stay - after 5 days of constant swimming it definitely turned green and needed a cleaning.
We did not heat the pool but I can see how it would be helpful as there is not a lot of sun that gets to it with it being enclosed
Not a lot of sun on the property to enjoy (like if you wanted to sit on the deck in the sun - very shaded)
It is to be expected but the beds were not comfortable - at least for the adults - definitely not a lot of support.
The bedroom with 2 queen beds fit 4 kids however they are definitely not queen beds - they are slightly bigger than fulls so the kids fit but it was definitely crowded for them.

We definitely recommend this property though and had a great time!

We had a great time. There were 3 adults and 4 kids under age 10 with us. The house was clean and large enough to fit all of us. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook and very close to the grocery store. The pool was great. We suggest heating the pool as the enclosure is very shaded and there is not a lot of sun to naturally heat the pool. We also asked to have the pool cleaned during the stay as after 5 days of constant swimming it turned green but the team was unable to accommodate. The room with 2 queen beds actually had 2 full beds so it was a little small and the other two rooms the beds were uncomfortable but it was a fabulous stay and we would recommend this property.
